What Styles of Swimwear Do Plus Size Women Like?
My sister studies fashion design and I help her do an assignment on swimwear for full figure women. Please tell me which style you would pick/choose if you are plus size:
1- One piece swimsuits: V-neck, Halter or Square neck
2- Two piece swimsuits: Tankinis, skirtinis
3- Swimdresses
4- Softbras or Underwire swimsuit
5- Plain colour, mixed colours or stripes (vertical, horizontal)
All answers will be highly appreciated !
I am a plus size woman and I prefer a one piece with a sexy neckline such as a halter or plunge type to show off my "assets" and draw attention away from other areas.
Built in bras are a MUST for us plus size gals too! As far as colors – I prefer solid dark or bright colors. No pastels or flowery prints.
Swim dresses are a definate NO NO! Who wants to look like Ms. Piggy on the beach?

im on the "thicker " side and I like the look of halter one pieces , in either a bright color , or a cute pattern

Depends on wear you carry most of your weight…..
Personally i like skirtini styles with a short kicky skirt, in a bright color like aqua with some eye catching detail !

As a plus size woman, I prefer shortinis with a tank. Skirtinis are nice also, but sometimes I don’t want to fool with the skirt rising.
As for bras, definitely softbra. Comfort is extremely important to me and underwires is just one more thing to press against my skin.
I tend to stick with darker colors, but that’s just my personal preference. Stripes on a plus size woman should be vertical. Horizontal makes you look larger.
