Is plus sized modeling out of the question for me?
They’ll be holding auditions in my neck of the woods and I’m thinking "why the hell not? I’m tall." But I don’t wear plus sizes even though I’m too big to be a "regular" size model. Basically, I’m 5′9" with 40 bust 30 waist 42 hips and I wear a size ten in pants (but usually an 8 in dresses) and my top half is smaller by a bit (I wear small-medium sized shirts in juniors). Don’t hold back your comments, say whatever you like, but I’m aprehensive and don’t want to try out for something I have no business doing.
And I’m not ugly like the avatar, that would be a joke.
Actually, your measurements are fine for plus size modeling. In the industry, "plus size" is anything over 40" bust and hips. And you have the height. You also need to have a great face and firm, toned skin (no flab or cellulite)
Go for it – you never know.

you’ll be too small for it. plus you still need to be really toned to do it, plus sized models are big boned too so they look ‘thicker’ rather than cottage cheese fat. You could eat alot and exercise i suppose…

You could try, but they will probably tell you to lose/gain weight. Your too big for normal modeling but to small for plus size.
