How come plus size girls can’t wear a bikini to the beach but a thin girl can?
I remember I went to the beach some time ago and this plus size women had a bikini on and to me I thought that was very brave of her but I over heard some guys laughing and acting as if they saw death or something. But not so long ago a thin women had a bikini on and the guys said she was hot. And the plus size lady didn’t look bad and to me the beach is not for judging but fun.
If your curious I was wearing shorts and a large t-shirt…just to go pick up some shells : )
Frankly, most woman of the "larger persuasion" do not feel COMFORTABLE in those little slings! They are not made for larger bodies. It would be like trying to put a horse’s harness onto a beetle. It’s not MADE for a beetle!
There are other choices of swimwear which are more comfortable to wear for every body-type. I really don’t think most people will "mind" a larger lady at the beach (or a Man!?) if they dress in something which is MADE for their body types. Of COURSE, you will ALWAYS get the juvenile delinquents who … oh,… well… you know. But what can you say to them, except that you’d just LOVE to box their ears!
Everyone is entitled to my opinion.

There isn’t a rule that a plus size women can’t wear a bikini. Maybe they’re self conscience and think if they go out like that, they’re gonna be picked on. I know that I wouldn’t be caught dead in a bikini. I’m so self conscience of my body that I wouldn’t even dare to attempt it.

Well, those guys probably don’t know anything, that’s why they’re homeless living on the beach lmao.

Our celebrity-driven culture has brainwashed men into being attracted only to women who actually look like men. If a woman has curves or an ounce of flesh everyone thinks she’s disgusting.
I am speaking in general terms. I realize there are exceptions. And to avoid the inevitable comments, I’m 5′7 and 127 pounds. I work with people with EDs and see this first hand.

We’ve been brain-washed to believe that thin is the only attractive size.
BUT, sometimes when things dont compliment you, you shouldnt wear it, or find something else flattering…
(Ex, some HUGE lady in a thong bikini w/no behind and dimples all in her butt could wear something less….Revealing)

the world is not ready for plus size women in bikinis. there are a$$holes there and immature folks out there roaming in the public. but right now, i’d say that we are in progress into making the world a better place. 60 years ago business were segregated from colored and un colored. look at today now. you see colored and un colored people everywhere together shopping malls, nail salons, restaurants. now imagine 50 years from now with the issue you are talking about.

um…well it’s not quite as flatering. but that depends on your definiton of "Plus size"
if that’s 5′8 and 140lb, that’s not plussize, thats normal
if u mean 5′2 190lb now thats unhealthy.

It’s not that they’re not allowed to, it’s that some people are shallow, and judge people on their appearance. I’ve found I’m much happier being friends with people or dating a woman based on their personality, intelligence, and sense of humor, rather than what they look like in a bathing suit.

i don’t have anything against plus size girls wearing bikinis to the beach. whatever floats their boat. as for the guys laughing and judging, they are pathetic losers who need to get a life. for personally, i hate any sort of swim wear so i just wear a shirt and swim shorts

I’m slim and I don’t wear a bikini if I can help it. There are often plus size girl at the nude beaches. They are as welcome as anybody. As we do not discriminate they can also enjoy themselves.
