Anyone out there looking to get rid of their plus size maternity clothes? I will pay for them & the shipping. I don’t want to spend a crazy amount of money on new clothes if I can get used ones cheaper. I am a size 20.

Check your local http://www.freecycle.com or http://www.craigslist.com. Both have groups in mostly all areas of the country. On freecycle everything is free. You would just join the group in your area. Then you can post a wanted add for maternity clothes in your size. On craigs list they do have a free area, but also have things for sale.

They cater to the plus size shopper and they have a fabulous selection of stylish swimwear that you don’t find in the department stores.
I keep finding wide leg trousers with cuffed hems. I love the look. But will the look love me?
Be aware that cuffed hems make people look shorter and their hips and thighs look bigger. If you are plus sized I would not reccommend them. Look for a tailored seam along the bottom that has a cuff-inspired look but still allows you to have a longer legline.

Note the detailing on the bottom of the pants. It has a cuffed look, but isn’t. It also creates the illusion of longer, trimmer legs.

Lane Bryant has some really cute stuff as of late. like, theres a few things there im jelous im not big enough to fit in, so be sure to give them a shot.
Torrid is like, my favorite plus size store ever because they carry all sorts of funky modern stuff, cool rocker stuff, and some really chic stuff if you need to dress up for things.
not everything in the plus size sections at department stores is terrible either, so if your in Kohls or something and the first thing you see is some horrid plaid dress that looks like it was maid from a picnic blanket, dont give up hope. my mother is plus sized and she does most of her shopping at kohls and she is way way fashion forward for her age.
idk where they all have locations but i know there is a plus size type store called CJ banks that has some nice stuff too. they are really good if you need work type clothes.

I was looking over at Old Navy’s website, they have the styles I’m looking for. I’m just wondering how it would fit…the guys’ shirts also have pockets right on the breast area. Do you think it would look okay? Is plaid even in style anymore?
