I’m looking to start my own clothing line. Think a mash of Hot Topic, Torrid, Lane Bryant, Fashion Bug, and my own personal style. Being a plus sized girl myself, I am sick of being doomed to wear shapeless clothing, cat sweaters and ugly tropical flower print or all black outfits. I personally love fishnets, plaid skirts, leopard print skirts, PVC, real colors that are both vibrant yet flattering and more. Is there anyone else like me who wants to dress in alternative outfits and is themselves, an alternative size? What other clothes would you like to see be available in plus sizes? What colors, styles, etc would you like to wear but are unable to find—or even afford? When I say "plus size" I mean size 14 and up, REALLY up–like 5X, 6X, etc.
And if you’re not going to give me real answers, please don’t bother posting an answer.

Lane Bryant also has some maternity clothes on their website. I’ve ordered online from Penney’s and not had too many issues with their clothes (for me the jeans ran a bit big), and returns were a cinch. Motherhood I have purchased from at some outlet stores, again, really happy with the things I have gotten. Some Sears stores have plus sized maternity clothes, while others don’t, and don’t even bother looking online with them~they don’t list anything. Happy shopping!

I remember I went to the beach some time ago and this plus size women had a bikini on and to me I thought that was very brave of her but I over heard some guys laughing and acting as if they saw death or something. But not so long ago a thin women had a bikini on and the guys said she was hot. And the plus size lady didn’t look bad and to me the beach is not for judging but fun.
If your curious I was wearing shorts and a large t-shirt…just to go pick up some shells : )
Frankly, most woman of the "larger persuasion" do not feel COMFORTABLE in those little slings! They are not made for larger bodies. It would be like trying to put a horse’s harness onto a beetle. It’s not MADE for a beetle!
There are other choices of swimwear which are more comfortable to wear for every body-type. I really don’t think most people will "mind" a larger lady at the beach (or a Man!?) if they dress in something which is MADE for their body types. Of COURSE, you will ALWAYS get the juvenile delinquents who … oh,… well… you know. But what can you say to them, except that you’d just LOVE to box their ears!
Everyone is entitled to my opinion.
I really like the clotehs and Wetseal, PacSun, and Delias. They dont sell clotehs that fit me though.
Are there any stores that sell clothes like in XL?
well, if you like PacSun, Delias, and Wetseal then that means your style is more on the preppy side things you can wear out, wear on a date, etc etc..

It’s happening, high end clothing stores are going to be making more trendy clothes for the plus size world. 2010 is the year of the Plus Size Woman.
For years Plus Size women have been discriminated against. There is constant bombardment from the media and the fashion industry to be stick thin. BODacious Inc. is trying to change societys perception of full figured people. The plus size community is not ugly, lazy or stupid; as what is portrayed by todays media. Our goal is to change the view of the world about our under represented plus size community.
Our first step in doing this is attempting to put an additional meaning of the word bodacious in the Websters dictionary. We believe full figured people should have size positive words that represent them instead of the negativity that surrounds the community today.
