I wanted my boyfriend and I to be Mario and Peach for Halloween…problem is that I’m a 12/14 and Id rather buy a costume thats a little bigger…the regular ones usually go to a size 12…Has anyone seen a plus sized Peach costume? Or even have a cute plus size idea that I can wear with my boyfriend? I have blonde hair if it helps…I was even thinking a St Pauli girl

I am probably a 1x and having a hard time finding clothes… I have been too Motherhood store a few times but hate the no return policy… and online shopping ideas?

Also.. doctor said because of my petite frame I should get a maternity girdle or belt.. I am only 5 months, and the baby is still really low making it hard to walk… due to lots of pressure. Do the girdles or belts really help? Which is better? Thanks!

i had the same problem when i was pregnant i was huge on my fourth month… but i still shop in AE, Gap, Rave. Sometimes they carry those babydoll shirt where it’s loose on your tummy and they kinda have that belt below your breast.. if not try looking for an empire waist shirt… for the bottom i had those jeans from motherhood the one with elastic belt thingy.. or you can just wear gauchos they are super comfy…

that maternity girdle works too it’ll kinda lift up the pressure… good luck with the pregnancy and Congratulations! Have fun!

I don’t want to try and buy one online. The other day I went swimsuit shopping and everything I tried on left me hanging out in every direction. It was wondering if I was mistakenly trying on the juniors suits, but I was not. Can anyone recommend a place? I am not plus sized so those stores won’t really help.

i just hoping someone could inform or send me links to websites of plus size agenices.. for teens with a lot of curves and short about 5′2 5′3.

There are excellent modeling agencies in NY that book plus size girls. Ford, Wilhelmina, Elite, Next, Click, Gilla Roos, Flaunt and IPM all book plus size models. You can google all of these sites, but the only one that you can access without a password is Flaunt. I’ve linked the site below. There are some great girls there but they don’t all compare to the top girls who can be found at Ford and Wilhelmina.

You are too short for modeling, whether it be for runway, print or fit modeling. It’s a fact – but you don’t have to take it from me. If you’d rather go to an agency and have them tell you in person, that’s cool. You need to be at least 5′8" for them to look at you, and in NYC (the MOST competitive market for plus size and straight size modeling in the world) it helps to be more like 5′10". You also need to have excellent hair, skin and teeth, be well-proportioned, be photogenic and have the time and money to get your career off the ground. I have two blogs on my Yahoo 360 page that go into more detail, so if you are interested in legit info from someone who has been there, feel free to take a look.

You might want to look into commercial agencies – height is not always such an important factor in that segment of the industry. Best of luck!
